Xedera Natalia Townsend is a professional performer from Media, PA. She began her training at age three studying ballet and tap at Broadway Bound Dance Academy in Media, PA. Soon after she added jazz, hip-hop, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, and modern into her diverse training. She graduated with Honors from Towson University with a B.F.A. in Dancer Performance and Choreography. Over the years, she's had the opportunity to work on a number of incredible solo and collaborative projects. Now performing as an NFL Cheerleader thriving on creative challenges and building long-term relationships with audiences along the way, Xedera Natalia Townsend is always leaving an impactful impression behind. Artistic Statement from Xedera Natalia Townsend
As an artist and a human being, I am forever evolving in the world. With every experience, new and old, I am learning, growing, becoming, and changing without judgment, but rather reflection. I am learning to be softer with myself, but firm in my beliefs. I am learning to be gentler and kinder to this body of mine, while making sure the world knows my worth. As an unapologetically black woman, there is always so much to say while simultaneously being asked to stay quiet; but I refuse to stay quiet. I instead welcome the discomfort and uncertainty that come with speaking my mind through life and through my art.
